Heat Treament
1. Specific gravity: The specific gravity of titanium alloy is about 4.55, which is 57% of that of ordinary stainless steel. It is easier to distinguish from the feel.
2. Color: The metal color of titanium alloy is off-white, and the color and texture are different from stainless steel and aluminum alloy. Because titanium alloys are difficult to polish and color, the surface of titanium alloy products is usually mechanically polished or frosted, and only a few high-end titanium alloy products are partially polished. The surface color of mechanical polishing and frosting is the unique gray or dark gray of titanium alloy.
3. Strength: The strength of titanium alloy is higher than that of ordinary stainless steel and aluminum alloy, which can reach twice that of stainless steel.
The difference between TA1 and TA2:
1. Impurity content: TA1 is greater than TA2.
2. Mechanical strength: TA1 is greater than TA2.
3. Hardness: TA1 is stronger than TA2.
4. Plastic toughness: The toughness of TA1 is weaker than that of TA2.
Titanium alloys are generally named according to their organization, namely α titanium alloy (including near α titanium alloy), β titanium alloy and (α+β) titanium alloy. In Chinese national standards, TA, TB, and TC are used as prefixes to indicate the type of titanium alloy, followed by a number to represent the alloy serial number, such as TA for α-type titanium alloy, TA7 titanium alloy for Ti5Al-2.5Sn alloy; TB for β-titanium Alloy, TB2 is Ti-5Mo-5V-8Cr-3Al alloy; TC stands for α+β alloy, such as TC4 titanium alloy is Ti-6Al-4V alloy.
α-titanium alloys mainly contain α-stable elements, and are basically α-phase titanium alloys in a stable state at room temperature, such as industrial pure titanium (TA0, TA1, TA2, TA3) and TA7 (Ti-5Al-5Sn). α titanium alloy is mainly used in chemical, petrochemical and processing industries. In these industries, the corrosion resistance and machinable deformation ability of the alloy are the first considerations. Industrial pure titanium (TA0-TA3 four types), TA9 titanium alloy containing palladium alloy ( TA9 titanium-palladium alloy) and a small amount of molybdenum and nickel alloy (TA10 titanium-molybdenum-nickel alloy) are preferred.
